POCO X6 5G receives BIS and IMDA certifications, launch could be imminent

POCO X6 5G global model has also bagged the IMDA certification with the model number 23122PCD1G. The ‘G’ at the end represents the global model.

  • The POCO X6 5G has been spotted on the BIS certification with the model number 23122PCD1I, as spotted by Mukul Sharma.
  • The IMDA listing also has the same model number but with ‘G’ at the end.
  • This is a clear indication that the launch in India and global markets could be around the corner.
  • Both certifications don’t reveal much else about the phones at the moment.

Recently, tipster Kacper Skrzypek, who is usually accurate with Xiaomi and POCO leaks, reported that the POCO X6 5G will be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 13 Pro from China. This is a bit surprising considering the POCO X6 Pro was believed to be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 13 Pro. The tipster has also shared a screenshot from the MIUI code to back his claim. The image shows the moniker as well as the model number.

Redmi Note 13 and Note 13 Pro specifications

  • Display: Redmi Note 13 and Note 13 Pro sport the same 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter.
  • Processor: Redmi Note 13 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. The vanilla Redmi Note 13 Pro ships with the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC.
  • RAM and storage: Up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, which is further expandable via a microSD card.
  • Software: Android 13-based MIUI 14 out-of-the-box.
  • Cameras: In the photography department, the Redmi Note 13 Pro features a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The Redmi Note 13 has a 100MP primary camera and a 2MP macro unit. There is a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
  • Battery, charging: Redmi Note 13 Pro has a 5,100mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The Note 13 comes with a 5,000 battery but with 33W fast charging.
