Pokemon, the popular anime series that has kept fans entertained for the past 25 years, is all set to bid farewell to its series protagonist, Ash Ketchum. Starting April 14, a Pokemon reboot series will start airing in Japan, featuring two new characters in Liko and Roy, who will embark on a brand-new adventure with Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.
As Ash’s last episode draws closer, fans have already started comparing the first and last episodes of the series. The emotions run high among fans, as the anime makers have also released a preview of the last episode of the series.
Ash’s last episode debuts on March 24, and ahead of that, some images from the episode have surfaced online. The images have been posted on Twitter by the makers of the anime. Through the caption on the post, we learn that Ash will have a reunion with his first rival, Gary Oak.
The caption also mentions a question Ash was asked by Gary, regarding how close a champion is to becoming a Pokemon Master. Ash and Gary are mentioned by their Japanese names in the tweet, which are Satoshi and Shigeru, respectively.
The images in the tweet showcase Ash and Pikachu meeting Gary, along with the latter’s Umbreon. It will be an emotional farewell for many, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Ash and Pikachu’s final swansong.
