Pokemon Go Adventure Week Announced for Fossil-Type Pokemon and Other Latest News
An upcoming Adventure Week is set to begin this month in Pokemon Go, with the spotlight on Fossil-type Pokemon. However, some rural players are expressing discontent with the Shiny Mew Masterwork Research questline, which was available earlier this month, following the adjusted prices for Remote Raids. Here are the latest news and updates for the Pokemon Go and its community.
Pokemon Go Adventure Week
Pokemon Go Adventure Week is returning this month on July 27, 10 am IST, and will go on until August 2, 8pm IST. The event will be a Fossil-type Pokemon-centric event, with Mega Tyranitar emerging for the first time in the game. Additionally, you will also be able to catch Shiny Tyrunt and Shiny Amaura during this event for the first time ever. Some of the other Pokemon that will appear more frequently in the wild include Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, and Cranidos to name a few.
You can also encounter Omaster, Kabutops and Cradily if you complete the Adventure Week-themed Field Research tasks. Regidrago and Mega Tyranitar will be available during Five-Star Raids and Mega Raids respectively.
Pokemon Go also promises the new Aurora adventures that Trainers will be able to participate in during the event. For more information, including details of Timed Researches, and Bonuses available during the event, check the official announcement blog post from Niantic.
As we gear up for the upcoming Adventure Week in Pokemon Go, players are unhappy for another reason. The game recently introduced the Shiny Mew Masterwork Research, allowing trainers to obtain a shiny Mew for US$5. However, the requirement of completing tasks in specific areas to unlock the US$5 pass has sparked complaints, particularly from players in rural areas. Niantic is facing criticism on social media as fans express concerns about the increasing inaccessibility of the game.
In other news, a new Secret Illustration Rare Charizard card is now available as a part of the Obsidian Flames expansion of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The Charizard featured is the Terastalized Dark-Type, with the card sporting intricate details, adding to its value.
