Pokemon GO Players Express Frustrations About the Game’s Limitations on Opening Gifts

Pokemon Go has one of the biggest communities in all of gaming, but recently the community has gotten together to discuss problems they have been facing with the game. Players have been expressing issues about two things mainly, first being the limitations of daily gifts that has been plaguing the game for years and the other is related to the latest event that has arrived in the game.

As spotted by DotEsports, one of the recent threads on the r/pokemongo subreddit suggests that players are fed up about the daily limit on gifts in the title. The user that has started this thread is urging their friends in the open the gifts that have been sitting in their inventory for weeks. For those who are unaware, players have a friendship level with their friends in the game, and this level increases only with the gifts and Pokemon they share and trade with each other. An increased friendship level means better trading discounts, damage bonuses, extra pokeballs, extra stardust and XP rewards.

To circumvent this issue, players have been trying out all kind of strategies in order to streamline this gift opening process. Through the comment section of the thread, players can see that other players have been using strategies such as pinning, nicknaming, categorising according to friendship level and other ways to make life easier with the gifting process. Players would be much happier if Niantic can at least increase the daily limit they have set on gifts, as the daily limit has remained the same for years now.

Pokemon Go Fans Call Riolu Event ‘Scammy’

On the topic of the community being frustrated with Pokemon Go, another thread on the r/pokemongo subreddit (via DotEsports) reveal another frustration of the players. This one is a more recent issue compared to the last one. Players are not happy with the ‘Riolu Hatch Event’ calling it ‘scammy’. Players have also spoken about how Pokemon Go events have lost their originality and have “continually stripped away bonuses and concepts from previous similar events”.
