Pokemon Unite: Marcos Gaming Becomes the First Indian Organization to Qualify for Asian Champions League 2023 in Malaysia

Marcos Gaming has become the first Indian organization to book their place in the prestigious Pokemon Unite Asian Champions League 2023.

The squad got their ticket to the competition which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia following a dominating performance in Stage 1 of Pokemon Unite Asian Champions League 2023 – India.

The Indian leg of the competition began on January 7, with Stage 2 concluding on February 25. Organized by Skyesports in collaboration with The Pokemon Company, the tournament features two tickets to Malaysia for five Indian organizations to compete for. With Marcos Gaming grabbing one of them already, the focus now shifts towards the remaining four competitors, who will fight for that one final spot.

In the single round-robin format, Marcos defeated opponents with ease, including current Indian champs, Gods Reign. Their strong performance has seen the squad featuring Snowyy, Volc, Meruem, VoxZ, and Kyurem make their way to the finals of Stage 2 and the Pokemon Unite Asian Champions League 2023.

“We are excited to represent India at the Asia Champions League in Malaysia,” said Volc upon qualification. “We are working hard and are looking forward to competing amongst the top teams in Asia.”

Marcos Gaming will be looking to make waves at the pan-regional tournament, where the best of East Asia and Southeast Asia will compete for the prize pool of $30,000.
