Prem fans rage at Amazon as Aston Villa vs Liverpool coverage ends

Premier League fans have hit out at Amazon after the channel’s coverage of Aston Villa versus Liverpool was accidentally ended mid-match. The bloop came reasonably early into the second half as the hosts chased a way back into the game after going 2-0 down in the first-half.

Liverpool took the lead inside five minutes when Mohamed Salah tapped into an open net after great work from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.

The Reds then made it 2-0 when Virgil van Dijk slotted home with his left foot inside the box via a deflection.

But as Villa went in search of a goal, fans watching on Amazon were left scrambling for their remotes and keyboards when the coverage cut out.

A message on screen read: “Thank you for watching the event live on Prime Video.”
