PS Plus August 2023 Extra and Premium games reveal date, time, leaks and more
The next batch of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games are about to be revealed by Sony. The new PS Plus games have an August 9 reveal date and a 4.30pm BST reveal time for subscribers living in the UK. The Extra and Premium titles will be available to download and stream less than a week later on August 15. The Extra line-up will consist of various PS4 and PS5 games, while the Premium titles include PSOne, PSP and PlayStation Vita classics.
In the build up to the big reveal, fans have been having fun making predictions about which games will appear in the line-up.
In an entertaining predictions thread on Reddit, some fans believe Gran Turismo 7 will make an appearance as a PS Plus Extra game in August.
With the Gran Turismo movie making its debut in cinemas this month, it would make sense for GT7 to appear in the Extra line-up. It would certainly help drum up some publicity.
Other subscribers think The Last of Us Part 1 could join PS Plus Extra in August, or perhaps fellow PlayStation blockbuster God of War Ragnarok.
“Join Kratos and Atreus on a mythic journey for answers before Ragnarök arrives. Together, father and son must put everything on the line as they journey to each of the Nine Realms,” reads the official description.
“Throughout stunning mythological landscapes, they’ll face fearsome enemies – from Norse gods to wild beasts – as they prepare for the showdown of their lives.”
Outside of first-party game predictions, there are multiple votes for martial arts action game Sifu, as well as Sonic Frontiers, Hades, and Little Nightmares 2.
Elsewhere, the 2022 Saints Row reboot appears in the thread, alongside Sekiro, Nier Automata, Rollerdrome, Dark Souls Remastered and Tales of Arise.
Lost Judgement features multiple times, as well as various Resident Evil titles, Cyberpunk 2077, Ni No Kuni and NHL 2023.
Of course, there’s a chance the games will leak ahead of the official reveal, so keep checking back for all the latest updates and developments. Express Online will also update this article when the games are officially announced.
Speaking of PS Plus, the August Essentials are currently available to download and play.
The strong line-up includes PGA Tour 2K23, Dreams, and the wonderful Death’s Door. Subscribers can download the games for free until September 5.
