PSG player arrested after allegedly organising attack on teammate

Paris Saint-Germain Feminine midfielder Aminata Diallo has been arrested amid suspicions over her involvement in an attack on teammate Kheira Hamraoui. Diallo is being held in police custody as the investigation continues.

According to L’Equipe, Hamraoui was attacked by masked men after a team meal at a restaurant near Bois de Boulogne in Paris on Thursday, November 4.

She was returning home with some of her teammates, including Diallo, who was driving the vehicle.

At around 10pm, two masked individuals ambushed the car, and one of them pulled the passenger door open, dragging Hamraoui onto the street, according to reports.

The culprits began attacking the former Barcelona star’s legs with an iron bar before quickly fleeing the scene, leaving the other party members, including Diallo, physically unharmed.

Details suggest the incident occurred outside Hamraoui’s home, meaning the assailants may have known her address.

Diallo, currently being held by the Versailles judiciary police, also plays in the same position as the 31-year-old.

Tuesday’s clash with Real Madrid would have been Hamraoui’s 100th appearance for the Parisiens after returning in the summer.

But she is instead nursing stitches on her hands and legs while an inquiry over a potential internal rivalry at PSG unfolds.
