PUBG Asia Pacific Predator League 2022: Team HAVK From India Creates Record

At the PUBG Asia Pacific Predator League 2022, Team HAVK from India competed against some of the best teams from the continent from November 11 to 13.

The tournament was held in-person after three years in Tokyo, Japan. While Vietnam’s Genius Esports won the PUBG competition and Philippines’ Polaris Esports won the Dota 2 event, Team HAVK’s performance also remained impressive.

At the end of the tournament, Team HAVK finished tenth, just ahead of Indonesia’s Macan Semeru. The team attained 64 points in the competition. This is a record for an Indian team competing in PUBG esports, considering the fact that its mobile counterpart is more popular in the country.

The winners of the Dota 2 and PUBG tournaments won a shared total prize pool of 260,000 USD.

“Unite As One” – was the theme of the 2022 Tokyo grand finals event. It was an exciting moment to see players finally meet each other and compete head-to-head during this year’s Predator League,” said Andrew Hou, president of Acer’s pan Asia Pacific operations. “Rest assured that we will always show our support to the gaming community and esports ecosystem in the spirit of healthy competition.”

In the Dota 2 competition, Polaris Esports dropped only one game in the entire tournament, which includes beating Philippines’ Execration in the grand finals. Up-and-coming Filipino team, GrindSky Esports, ended up coming third in the tournament.

As for the PUBG competition, Genius Esports won with a 70-point margin ahead of the second-placed team. While South Korea’s DWG Kia or Damwon Gaming finished in second place, Phillipines’ ArkAngel Predator finished third.

Ezqelusia from Attack All Around and ATee from Yangon Galacticos won the Intel MVP title.
