Rainbow Six: John Wick Director Chad Stahelski Roped In to Develop Michael B. Jordan-Led Film

Michael B. Jordan’s story in the live-action adaptation of Tom Clancy novels continue, as he is all set to return as John Clark in a sequel to 2021’s Without Remorse.

The original action thriller was based on this hit 1993 novel of the same name by Clancy. It followed the story of a U.S. Navy SEAL by the name of John Kelly, played by Jordan, who sets out on revenge following the death of his wife.

At the end of the film, Kelly is given a new identity by the name of John Clark, who later begins the process to form a multinational counter-terrorism unit with the codename Rainbow, setting the stage up for a sequel.

And according to The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel will take place as Chad Stahelski of John Wick fame has been brought in as the film’s director. The sequel titled Rainbow Six will most likely be the adaptation of Clancy’s popular 1998 book of the same name. The book also has several video game adaptations, with the most popular instalment being Rainbow Six Siege from Ubisoft.

The report states that Jordan will be handling production duties alongside Elizabeth Raposo via the duo’s Outlier Society banner. Moreover, Akiva Goldsman and Greg Lessans, as well as Josh Appelbaum and Andre will also be producing through the Weed Road Pictures and The Saw Mill banners, respectively. On the other hand, Stahelski will be executive producing through his 87Eleven Entertainment banner as well.

With the introduction of Stahelski, fans can expect to see an action blood fest, similar to the style he brought in the wildly popular John Wick series, led by actor Keanu Reeves.
