Rams safety Taylor Rapp proposes to high school sweetheart on field after Super Bowl 56 win

Rams safety Taylor Rapp popped the question to his girlfiend after winning Super Bowl 56.

Following the 23-20 victory against the Bengals, Rapp got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Danielle Johnson. She got emotional before accepting the proposal and the couple celebrated with a hug. The Rams shared a video of the proposal on social media and congratulated the couple.

Rapp was the 61st pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and suffered a concussion in the Rams’ overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 18 of the regular season. He missed the entire postseason, but was able to return for the Super Bowl winning effort, recording seven tackles.

The couple are high school sweethearts, both attending Sehome High School in Bellingham, WA. They even went to prom together!

Johnson played volleyball at both Seattle Pacific University and Southern Oregon University with Rapp stayed close to home and played football with the Washington Huskies. They stuck by each other despite having to make their long-distance relationship work. There’s no doubt that Johnson is Rapp’s number one fan.

After the proposal, the celebration kept going as Rapp got to snap a photo with the Lombardi Trophy.

The fairytale continues.
