Ravindra Jadeja: WATCH: Ravindra Jadeja strikes twice to dismiss Devdutt Padikkal and Sanju Samson in the same over | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Chennai Super Kings’ star left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja once again was at his best on Wednesday when he turned his magical arm to get rid of Rajasthan Royals batters Devdutt Padikkal and Sanju Samson in the same over in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The incident happened in the 9th over of the innings when Jadeja first sent well-set Padikkal (38 off 26 balls) back in the dugout to give CSK a crucial breakthrough.

Padikkal, who added 77 runs for the second wicket with Jos Buttler, went for a slog-sweep but Devon Conway made no mistake and grabbed a well-judged catch at deep backward square leg boundary.
Charged-up Jadeja, who returned figures of 2/21 in his quota of 4 overs, came up with a ripper a ball later and knocked the off-stump of rival skipper Samson to give another denting blow to Rajasthan.
Samson made the mistake of moving back and then the ball turned from there going past the back foot block to hit the off-stump.

With this dismissal, Samson also created an unwanted record of getting out for most ducks – 8 times – while playing for RR in IPL.
Legendary Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne and former India player Stuart Binny got out 7 times on ducks while Ajinkya Rahane dismissed on five occasions while playing for RR.
