Realme 11 Pro+ 5G Review: Design
Realme 11 Pro+ features a premium aesthetic which impressed us from the very moment we unboxed. The device features a sleek metal frame, an eye-catching curved display, and a distinctive leather panel on the back, adorned with a beige and silver line running through the middle up to the camera module. The leather finish not only enhances the overall experience but also provides a secure grip, ensuring the smartphone never slips from your hand. Moreover, the back panel remains free from smudges and fingerprints, maintaining a clean and polished appearance. Realme’s collaboration with former GUCCI designer Matteo Menotto has resulted in a design that sets it apart from other smartphones currently available.
The rear panel showcases a prominent circular camera module housing three lenses in a single line, with an LED flash positioned above and “200MP” elegantly inscribed beneath the primary sensor. This black camera module is accentuated by a golden ring at its center, adding a touch of opulence to the overall look. The Realme branding is discreetly positioned at the bottom of the back panel. On the right edge, you’ll find the power button and volume rockers, while the left side remains uncluttered. The bottom edge is home to the SIM tray, microphone, Type-C port, and speaker grille.
The front of the device boasts a visually pleasing 6.7-inch curved display. Positioned at the top of the display is a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, which does not hinder the immersive gaming or content viewing experience. Additionally, Realme has minimized the bezels, creating a larger display area that enhances content consumption and adds to the smartphone’s appeal.
With its curved edges and vegan leather back panel, the Realme 11 Pro+ provides a comfortable in-hand feel. The device fits snugly in the hand, and the slight camera bump can be easily addressed by using the protective case included in the box. The overall design exudes a premium and contemporary aesthetic. While the smartphone comes with a protective cover, it is worth noting that the display lacks Gorilla Glass protection. In terms of weight, the device weighs 189 grams, slightly heavier than its predecessor, the Realme 10 Pro+ (173 grams). However, once you become accustomed to using it, the smartphone feels lightweight and its thickness of 8.7mm becomes inconspicuous.

Realme 11 Pro+ 5G Review: Display
Realme 11 Pro+ continues the tradition of its predecessor, the Realme 10 Pro+ (review), by featuring a curved display of the same size. The Realme 11 Pro+ 5G showcases a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. With a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and peak brightness reaching up to 950 nits, this display offers a visually captivating experience.
The device offers four distinct color profiles to choose from. The Cinematic mode enhances colors slightly, while the Natural mode presents more realistic color tones. The Vivid and Bright mode intensifies colors, giving them a brighter appearance with a hint of blue. During our usage, we found the Natural mode to be visually pleasing and easy on the eyes. The slim bezels surrounding the display further enhance the overall immersive experience, making content consumption a delight.
The display of the Realme 11 Pro+ supports HDR, delivering a wide range of colors with the ability to reproduce 1 billion colors. However, the peak brightness of 950 nits might pose some challenges when viewing the screen under harsh sunlight during summer, requiring additional effort to view it clearly.
We tested the display’s performance by watching HDR videos on YouTube, and the colors appeared natural with commendable dynamic range. Additionally, the smartphone offers features such as Video Color Enhancer and Eye Comfort mode, along with a high refresh rate. It is worth noting that enabling these features can impact battery life, so utilizing the auto mode can help prolong battery performance.
Realme 11 Pro+ provides users with the flexibility to adjust the refresh rate according to their preferences. The adaptive refresh rate offers three options: 60Hz, 120Hz, or Auto Select, allowing users to optimize the display’s performance based on their specific needs and preferences.
Realme 11 Pro+ 5G Review: Camera
Realme 11 Pro+ has garnered attention for its camera setup, as it proudly boasts the distinction of being the first Realme smartphone equipped with a 200MP primary sensor, accompanied by a 4x lossless zoom capability. The device features a triple camera configuration at the rear, comprising the 200MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens.
When it comes to the camera, Realme 11 Pro+ exhibits significant improvements compared to its predecessor. The device’s 200MP primary sensor, utilizing the Samsung HP3 sensor with an aperture of f/1.69 and Optical Image Stabilization, captures stunning shots. These images are characterized by exceptional clarity, intricate details, and accurate color reproduction. The camera also excels in delivering an impressive dynamic range.
The captured shots exhibit noticeable lighting effects, accurately depicting the face of the subject where light is both visible and reflected, as well as rendering the subtle shading of creases in clothing.
The shots shared above are taken during nighttime. These shots have a variety of hues that look quite natural. Also, the primary low-light camera shots are full of details.
These shots have a lighting effect that is pretty visible. The face of the dummy where light is not visible and the other half of the face where light is reflected, are captured quite accurately. The creases of the T-shirt also portray shade clearly.
Realme 11 Pro+’s camera delivers natural skin tones in portraits, without artificially enhancing fairness. This authenticity is evident in the provided example.
The 8MP ultrawide camera also performs well in daylight conditions, although it does not match the prowess of the primary sensor. Nevertheless, its performance remains commendable, leaving little room for complaints. However, in low-light environments, the quality of images taken with the ultrawide camera may experience a decline.
The front-facing camera of Realme 11 Pro+ boasts a notable upgrade compared to its predecessor, with a 32MP sensor replacing the previous 16MP sensor. The increased megapixel count is accompanied by enhanced performance. The 32MP selfie camera captures detailed self-portraits with impressive color accuracy, contrast, and more. These selfies also exhibit natural color tones, further enhancing their appeal.

Realme 11 Pro+ 5G Review: Performance
Realme 11 Pro+ is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset that is based on a 6nm fabrication process. The smartphone comes with up to 12GB RAM and up to 1TB onboard storage with support for 8GB virtual RAM. All this makes sure that the performance is smooth. It can perform all the daily tasks throughout the day without any lag. For example web browsing, social media browsing, calls, multi-tasking, and more. We used many apps simultaneously and there were no hindrances at any point in time.
Realme 11 Pro+ proves to be a capable device for gaming, whether it’s casual games like Temple Run and Candy Crush or more demanding titles like Asphalt 9 and COD Mobile. However, for an optimal gaming experience with heavy games, it is recommended to adjust the graphics settings to either maximum or Very High while maintaining the frame rates at their highest levels.
To ensure a smooth gaming experience, Realme 11 Pro+ is equipped with an X-axis linear motor and a 2900mm2 vapor chamber cooling system. This combination effectively regulates the device’s temperature during extended gaming sessions, preventing overheating and enhancing overall performance. This cooling mechanism contributes to maintaining a stable gaming performance even under demanding conditions.
Here are the results of some benchmark tests that we ran on Realme 11 Pro Plus:
Coming to the software, Realme 11 Pro+ comes with Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 skin on top. Although the design of the new Realme UI is pretty much similar to ColorOS, the interface is slightly better which makes usage simpler. There is loads of bloatware as it comes with pre-installed apps like Moj, Facebook, and Glance, out of which some can be removed.
Special Features include a split screen, Flexible windows, Quick Launch, Quick Return, and more that help make the performance even better. Realme UI 4.0 also comes with various features like New Themes, Fingerprint sensor animation, new media controls, and more. Realme Lab section has dual mode audio that can connect wired and wireless together, a sleep capsule, a heart rate sensor, and much more.
While we are talking about performance, the smartphone also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor which is quick and responsive. The speakers also perform well and are audible even in a medium-sized room.
The calling experience does bring some issues but those are not due to Realme 11 Pro Plus 5G as even with other 5G smartphones, the call gets connected in 2-3 tries. This happens a lot ever since the 5G network has been switched. After the call gets connected, voices at both ends are clearly audible.

If you are a heavy user, then too the battery will last till evening with ease.

Realme 11 Pro+ 5G Review Verdict: Should you buy it?
Realme 11 Pro+ presents itself as a compelling choice for individuals who prioritize design and camera capabilities, particularly considering its competitive mid-range price point. While the smartphone offers decent performance, it’s important to note that it may not satisfy those seeking the most powerful chipset available in this segment. However, for users who enjoy consuming content on larger screens, the slightly larger display of Realme 11 Pro+ will be a welcome feature.
When it comes to photography, Realme 11 Pro+ competes strongly with its rivals, providing an impressive camera setup that includes a 4x lossless zoom capability for enhanced detailing. The device offers tough competition in the camera department, delivering satisfying results.
One drawback worth mentioning is the presence of bloatware, which may disappoint some users. However, it is worth noting that certain bloatware can be partially removed, providing a positive aspect to consider.
Overall, Realme 11 Pro+ caters well to individuals seeking an appealing design and excellent camera performance within the mid-range segment. While it may not offer the most powerful chipset available and includes bloatware, it presents a competitive package overall.
