Realme 8s and Realme 8i launched in India on Thursday alongside the Realme Pad. The company announced the price and specifications of the two new smartphones. These are the latest additions to the company’s existing Realme 8 lineup. Realme 8s is the world’s first phone with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset that has 5G network connectivity, while the Realme 8i is India’s first with the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. The phones come with a punch-hole camera, a triple rear camera system, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and multiple colour options. Realme 8i and Realme 8s will be available via the Realme website and Flipkart online. The latter comes in Universe Blue and Universe Purple colour options, while the former ships in Space Black and Space Purple colourways. Realme 8s first sale is set for September 13th at 12 noon, while the Realme 8i will go on sale from September 14th at 12 noon.

Display: The Realme 8s sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution, 90.50 percent screen-to-body ratio, punch-hole camera. The display offers 100 percent DCI-P3 colour Space, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, 600nits brightness and can go as low as 1nit for less eye strain during the night.
Processor and software: Realme 8s is the first phone in the world to ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset paired with ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, with either 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card up to 1TB. There’s an additional 5GB Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology that allows to quickly switch between different apps and better multitasking. The device ships with Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.
Cameras: Realme 8s has a triple camera setup on the back, with a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF HDR, and 6P lens. The main sensor is paired with a 2MP B&W lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP 4cm macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. The cameras support features like Super Nightscape, Panoramic View, Expert, Timelapse, Portrait
