Realme GT Pro 2 registers 1-million+ score on AnTuTu

The Realme GT Pro 2, with model number RMX3301, has been found posting a record-breaking score on AnTuTu, albeit with a slight change. The screengrab shared by the leaker account Digital Chat Station shows that the device which has scored on the benchmark carries a model number RMX3300. The naming suggests it could be a variant of the Realme GT Pro 2 5G.

According to the screengrab, the Realme GT Pro 2, which was earlier expected to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, will indeed come with the newer and more capable Snapdragon 898 instead. The Realme device carrying the model number RMX3300 has scored an astounding 1,025,215 on the AnTuTu benchmark site, thus becoming the first to breach the 1-million mark.

If you are looking for a comparison, the highest-ranking smartphone on Antutu right now is the Nubia Red Magic 6 with a score of 858734. That means the next-gen Snapdragon 898 smartphone may deliver roughly a 20 percent better overall performance than the current best.

The device is also likely to feature a 6.51-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz display, an OIS-assisted 50MP main camera on the back, a 32MP front camera shooter, and a 5,000mAh battery with 125W fast charging support. It is also expected to come with LPPDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage system, along with Android 11-based Realme UI 3.0 out of the box. The Realme GT Pro 2 is expected to carry a sticker price of $629 (around Rs 46,900) when it launches in early 2022.

As we mentioned, the much-speculated Realme GT Pro 2 will be the first smartphone from the brand to adopt the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 mobile platform. Most high-end Android devices such as the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro, Xiaomi 12, Samsung Galaxy S22, iQOO 9, Redmi K50 Pro/Pro+, Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, and Realme GT Pro 2 can be expected to pack this chipset under the hood. Snapdragon 898 is expected to launch by the end of this month at Qualcomm’s Tech Summit 2021.
