Realme Quicksilver will be first Snapdragon 778G 5G Smartphone by the brand – Smartprix

A couple of days back Qualcomm announced its new Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset and it seems Realme is really pumped about new 700-series chipset. Within hours after the Qualcomm announcement, Realme has revealed its plans to launch a Snapdragon 778G phone. Apparently, the has been codenamed as “QuickSilver” internally.

Realme is yet to reveal commercial name and launch details of the device. We at Smartprix, expect Realme to launch its Snapdragon 778G phone sometime in August 2021. Apart from Realme, the new processor seems to have many takers and also expects Snapdragon 778G mobile processor-based mid-range smartphones from Xiaomi, Poco, Motorola, OPPO, and iQOO, among others.

While Realme has made its intent clear, it remained tight-lipped about the product detail. Apart from presence of the Snapdragon 778G chipset, rest of the specs of Realme Quicksilver are still unknown.

Why Snapdragon 778G SoC?

The Qualcomm 778 chipset is based on a 6nm node process using Kryo 670 cores. This results in 40 percent performance improvement, 40 percent GPU improvement, and better power efficiency than its predecessor.
