Realme VP Madhav Sheth Hints At Upcoming Realme Fold, Flip

Samsung was the first smartphone maker to get the original foldable Galaxy Fold available commercially. Although it went through a turbulent time, we have now seen multiple iterations of Galaxy Fold and Flip phones. Xiaomi, Oppo, Motorola, Tecno, and a few others have joined the wagon in various capacities so far.

Cut to now, Readme is cooking up its foldable phone as well. It comes directly from Realme VP Madhav Sheth who took it to Twitter asking the users if they want to see “Realme Fold” or “Realme Flip”.

The history of rumors around Realme’s foldable phone dates back to 2021 when the Chinese brand was rumored to be working on a foldable phone. It was slated to arrive sometime in 2022 which didn’t work. Now that Sheth teased the topic again, it seems like the Realme foldable phone is actually in the making although we won’t be putting a date to it as of now.

Circling back to the tweet, Realme Fold refers to a large notebook-sized foldable phone such as the Mate X series or the Galaxy Z Fold series. On the other hand, the Realme Flip refers to a Galaxy Z Flip-lik3 clamshell-styled device. Since all we know so far is about a said foldable phone in the works, we can’t confirm if it’s Flip or Fold as of now. You can revert to Sheth’s tweet above to stay notified or visit SmartPrix as we capture the development in action.

Realme belongs to BBK Electronics group and shares the podium with Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus among other sub-brands. Oppo already has three clamshell-styled foldable phones so far and it recently unveiled its third offering Oppo Find N2 Flip. With that being said, we will have to wait until Realme Fold or Flip makes any presence online.
