Realme X7 Max with a Dimensity 1200 SoC and a 3.5mm Jack is on its way to India – Smartprix

Realme is fervently teasing its upcoming top-end phone — the Realme X7 Max through its socials. As evident from the name, it is an upgrade to the Realme X7 Pro that had launched back in February. The new Max model is set to arrive in India soon. And through the company’s Twitter posts and dedicated microsite, we get a glimpse of what’s in store.

For starters, the X7 Max is going to be the first phone in the Indian market wielding a Dimensity 1200 SoC from MediaTek. It is a 5G capable chip. So, you get future-readiness with a dual 5G SIM support. Well, it is something expected out of a high-end phone in 2021. On the microsite, Realme has shared some key specs about the chipset, along with the Antutu score. It also hints at a gaming partnership with Gameloft’s Asphalt 9 Legends.

From the official teaser images, the device seems to be Realme GT Neo that debuted earlier in March. The phone dons a blue-ish purple gradient color with the “Dare to Leap” slogan stamped on top.

Realme X7 Max specs and features (expected)

Realme X7 Max is likely to sport a 6.43-inch sAMOLED FHD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Within a right cornered punch hole, you would get a 16MP selfie clicker. By the back, there will be a 64MP troika.

As we already know, the phone will bear a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G SoC. This is based on a 6nm architecture and clocks a max core speed of 3 GHz. Realme brags an Antutu result of 700,600 from this phone. It also alludes to an Asphalt 9 partnership. What that is and the details aren’t known at the moment though.

Anyway, internally, you could also expect a 4,500mAh battery supporting 50W fast charging, 8+128, and 12+256GB memory options.

From the teasers, we also learn about the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack which was missing on the Realme X7 (review) and Realme X7 Pro (review). Finally, the phone could hit the shelves in Mercury Silver, Asteroid Black, and Milky Way colors.
