Red Bull engineer swears at Martin Brundle live on Sky Sports at Monaco GP

Martin Brundle was forced to apologise after a Red Bull mechanic swore live on air during Sky Sports hectic grid walk. Brundle was trying to secure a chat with Christian Horner when he was blocked by a Red Bull engineer.

As Brundle tried to fight through, the mechanic stood in front of him. The mechanic then issued an X-rated rant, telling Brundle: “Im gonna get in f***ing s*** dude.”

Brundle was then forced to apologise to viewers before speaking to the Red Bull team boss. He added: “Yeah sorry for the language there everybody.” F1 fans were quick to blast Red Bull on social media as they came to Brundle’s defence.

Twitter user “@CSteele_endo said: “Poor Martin Brundle is having a bit of a nightmare walking the grid today!! Wonder if the potty-mouthed Red Bull worker will be as much in the “******* ****” as he predicted after that language.”

@HingCfc added: “That Red Bull mechanic has fully p***ed me off swearing at Martin Brundle.”

@dan_grey explained: “Kind of speechless that this Red Bull employee apparently doesn’t know who Martin Brundle is and thought that kind of language was appropriate.”

Some users even demanded Red Bull took action after the race. @caffeinegalore posted: “Red Bull going to address the absolute prat who just swore on live tv to Martin Brundle? Nah I wouldn’t have interviewed Horner after that.”

@Sarah_C3980 commemted: “Wonder if the over zealous Red Bull ‘we’re going to get s*** for that’ lackey is going to find himself out of a job for his our burst Martin Brundle.”

It comes just weeks after Brundle was involved in another hilarious grid walk incident in Miami. He bumped into Jackie Stewart on the grid who attempted to secure a chat with Roger Federer.

However, Stewart was stopped by security with Brundle fearing for the safety of the former three-time world champion. After the race, Brundle said: “Then he jumps over the rope, and there were three people running after him. I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, I’ve just gotten Jackie Stewart thrown out of this place’, and we’ve both been thrown out of better places than that!

“It was hilarious, really. Then I started to panic a little bit, if I’m honest! He’s 83, I don’t need him over there risking himself just for an interview.”
