Red Dead Redemption Remake ‘Is Real’ According to Information From ‘Behind the Scenes’

Rumors of a remake of Rockstar Games’ 2010 game Red Dead Redemption have been doing the rounds recently. Fans spotted a new rating for the title on Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee for the title. This was in addition to separate listings for both 2010’s Red Dead Redemption and 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2. However, Last Stand Media’s owner Colin Moriarty recently shared that a remaster of the 2010 Red Dead Redemption is indeed coming.

Insider confirms Red Dead Redemption remastered version in the making

Colin Moriarty shared the news as a part of his Sacred Symbols podcast, where he said that he has received confirmation from an insider. He was reportedly shown something, that Moriarty says, “definitely” implies that the game is coming. According to Comicbook.com, here’s what he said,

“I can say I have seen confirmation that this is real. I don’t think you need this confirmation, but I had someone reach out to me behind the scenes that showed me something that definitively shows this game is coming. Maybe even imminently with an announcement maybe in like August. So, not a huge surprise, you don’t need to tell you that South Korean ratings board doesn’t just rate things. They rate things that are submitted to them.”

Rockstar Games’ next big project that fans are ardently awaiting, would be GTA 6. On that note, last year, Rockstar Games announced that they’ll be “steadily moving more development resources towards the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series”. As a result, they were making some changes to how they support Red Dead Online.

However, as now confirmed by Colin Moriarty, who has also been a former editor at IGN, the demanded Red Dead Redemption remake was never cancelled, but only postponed.
