Redfall Prices Leak Before the Release Date; Gears 6 Rumoured to Be in the Works at Xbox Along With a Collection

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the release of Arkane’s Redfall, it seems like news about the upcoming title’s price has finally come out, even though it’s not from official sources.

According to popular leaker billbil-kun, Arkane’s shooter title will cost EUR 79.99 for the standard Xbox Series X edition. With gamers disappointed about titles breaking the $70 mark, the developers behind games like Deathloop have taken it a step further by pitting its upcoming title at around the $86 upon currency conversion.

The leaker has even stated that the game’s upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for the Series X variant will cost a further $29.99. With the game already postponed from its 2022 release date, fans will definitely not be overjoyed with the developer’s decision to stick such a hefty price tag on the title, which doesn’t even have a confirmed launch date at the moment.

Gears 6 rumoured to be in the works

In other news, Gears fans might want to hold on to their seats, as new rumours suggest a return to the series for Xbox.

In a recent episode of The XboxEra Podcast, the hosts showcased an anonymous leak they received, which featured the logos of Gears Ultimate Collection. Rumours about the Xbox franchise receiving a remaster have been swirling on the internet for quite some time. However, none of this news has yet to be confirmed by any of the developers.

Along with the Gears Ultimate Collection, the image also contained a logo for Gears 6 as well. Both hosts have clarified that it very well could be a fake, as they don’t know the source behind these images. And even if it’s real, Gears fans might have to hold their horses, as it’s very likely that the next mainline title will be years away from release.
