Redmi 10 specifications, variants revealed: MIUI 12.5, up to 6GB RAM, and more | 91mobiles.com

While all eyes are on the Redmi Note 10T affordable smartphone, which will launch in India on July 20th, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi seems to be working on its budget lineup too on the side. The Redmi 10 smartphone with model number 21061119AG has passed by the FCC in the US and the IMEI certification agency, revealing the phone’s official marketing name and some key specifications. These certification listings suggest the Redmi 10 launch is around the corner in several major markets as the phone has been certified in India, Europe, Russia, Malaysia, and Singapore as well. Let’s check out what we can expect from the Redmi 10 specifications when it launches.

The Redmi 10 specifications revealed by the FCC listing include MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, dual-band Wi-Fi, and 4G band support. It also shows the variants the smartphone will be sold in: 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 128GB.

The IMEI listing doesn’t reveal as much information but does confirm the marketing name of Xiaomi 21061119AG, i.e. Redmi 10.

Looking at the specifications, Redmi 10 seems to be similar to its predecessor on the hardware front. To recall, Redmi 9 also had dual-band Wi-Fi, custom skin, and up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. But this obviously doesn’t reveal the full picture: there are a lot of areas where the next-gen model can improve upon, including the camera, performance, and display.

Redmi 10 India launch?

The Redmi 10 launch date is anybody’s guess at the moment since the company seems to be focussing on other smartphones right now. However, considering it’s already over a year since the Redmi 9 series debuted, we can expect its successor to go official soon. In fact, Xiaomi has already started teasing the Redmi 10 series on Twitter, with Amazon availability of the series also confirmed. A BIS certification listing has already confirmed that the Redmi 10 smartphone is definitely headed to Indian shores, which isn’t a surprise considering Xiaomi/ Redmi wouldn’t want to entirely cede the sub-Rs 10,000 segment to Realme.
