Redmi 12 India variant spotted on Geekbench ahead of official launch
The Redmi 12 is launching in India on August 1st, and there are several details we already know about the upcoming phone. However, the Indian variant of the upcoming smartphone has now been spotted on the Geekbench website, confirming some key details.

- Geekbench is a benchmarking website that can assess and give scores for the computational performance of your device. It works on different platforms and can measure performance in both single-core and multi-core tasks.
- As per the listing, the India variant of the Redmi 12 has been spotted with the model number 23053RN02I.
- The Redmi 12 scored 436 points in the single-core test and 1388 points in the multi-core test.
- The listing (via) confirms that the India variant of the Redmi 12 will be powered by MediaTek’s octa-core Helio G88 chipset.
- In terms of RAM, the upcoming smartphone will likely pack up to 6GB of RAM.
- The smartphone will run Android 13 out of the box with MIUI skin on top.
Redmi 12 expected price, other details
The upcoming Redmi 12 is expected to be launched as an affordable smartphone. Meanwhile, the company has launched the Redmi 12 in Thailand for TBH 5,299 (approx Rs 12,600). Therefore, keeping the track record in mind, we can expect the phone to be priced under or around Rs 12,000 for Indian consumers.
On the other hand, Redmi has also revealed some colour options and design for the upcoming phone. As per the company, just like the Moonstone Silver version, the Pastel Blue and Jade black colour options will have a Crystal Glass finish. This will make the affordable device look even better and give it a more luxurious feel.
It is also confirmed that the Redmi 12 will be available on Amazon along with the company’s online and offline channels.
