In China, the Redmi 12C has been launched at a starting price of CNY 699 (roughly Rs 8,400) for the 4GB+64GB storage option. The 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB storage options are priced at CNY 799 (roughly Rs 9,600) and CNY 899 (roughly Rs 10,800), respectively. The smartphone has been unveiled in Shadow Black, Sea Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender colours.
The Redmi 12C comes with a 6.71-inch HD+ display with 500 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone equips a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera. It has a 5MP selfie shooter in the front. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and packs a 5,000mAh battery with a 10W charging adapter.
Redmi Note 12 4G specifications
The company has not yet disclosed any specs about the upcoming Redmi Note 12 4G, but recently, tipster SnoopyTech disclosed that the smartphone would offer a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will likely sport a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor.
The phone will likely come equipped with a 13MP selfie shooter. The Redmi Note 12 4G is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and might house a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It is said to come with an IP53 rating and a side fingerprint sensor.
The upcoming Redmi Note 12 4G might be a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which was launched in 2021. Meanwhile, a recent report said that the upcoming Redmi Note 12 4G now holds certifications from the NBTC, TDRA, FCC, and IMDA.
