Redmi A2, Redmi A2+ specifications

Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ come with the same set of specifications but with two key differences. Let’s take a look at what the two budget phones have to offer:

  • Display: The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ come with a 6.52-inch HD+ display that has a waterdrop notch on top.
  • Processor: Under the hood of the two phones run the MediaTek Helio G36 processor.
  • Cameras: The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ sport an 8MP primary camera and a QVGA lens at the rear. You also get a 5MP front camera for selfies.
  • Battery, charging: The smartphones also pack the same 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.
  • Connectivity: In terms of connectivity, the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a micro-USB port, 4G VoLTE, and VoWiFi.
  • Software: On the software front, the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ run Android 13 (Go edition) out-of-the-box.
  • The first key difference between the two phones is that the Redmi A2+ has a rear fingerprint sensor and the Redmi A2 doesn’t.
  • RAM and storage: This is another area where the two phones differ. The Redmi A2 comes in two variants of 2GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. As for the Redmi A2+, it comes only with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Since the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ offer the same set of specifications it might get confusing which one to go for. But the Redmi A2+ seems like a better offering since the fingerprint sensor is an important feature. If that isn’t a concern then you can go for the lower-priced Redmi A2.
