Considering that Xiaomi has earned its reputation over the years by offering spec-loaded phones at pocket-friendly prices, continuous price hikes to one of its most popular phones in the mid-range price category come across as particularly surprising. As the brand has not shared the reasoning behind these price hikes, only speculations are available at this point.
