Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Note 12 Pro+ 5G global launch soon, spotted on IMDA: specifications

Now, it looks like we are soon going to witness the global launch of the series, as the Redmi Note 12 Pro and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ devices have now been spotted on the IMDA certification website of Singapore, shortly after making an appearance on IMEI. Redmi Note 12 series India launch is also imminent, although the devices are tipped to be launched under the Xiaomi brand name. Let’s take a look.

Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ global launch imminent

As seen in the certification image above, the Redmi Note 12 Pro (with the model number Redmi 22101316G) and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ (with the model number Redmi 22101316UG) have today been certified by the Singapore IMDA certification authority, thereby hinting at an imminent launch of the devices in the Asian countries. The IMDA certification does not tell us much about the specifications of the devices, save for the fact that both will be 5G handsets and will feature NFC support.

That said, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has already received the FCC certification in the past, which more or less confirms that the global variant of the device will feature the same specifications as its Chinese counterpart. Plus, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is reported to launch in India as the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge. If that is indeed the case, we can expect the Redmi Note 12 Pro to launch in the country as the Xiaomi 12i, if the company’s previous trends are anything to go by.

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ specifications

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, which is coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The device has a 200MP Samsung HPX sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. At the front, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ comes with a 16MP selfie shooter.

In terms of battery, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ features a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. Lastly, the device boots Android 12-based MIUI 13 skin out of the box.
