Xiaomi is heading towards the launch of its upcoming Redmi smartphone– Redmi Note 12 series–in China. The smartphone is expected to launch next year, but ahead of the launch, rumours about the chipset that would power the device have surfaced online.
According to a report by Weibo (via Digital Chat Station), the Redmi Note 12 series is tipped to be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset.
The upcoming Note 12 series from the house of Redmi (Xiaomi) is expected to sport a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor on the rear. However, it is still not specified which handset will feature this sensor.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ 5G handsets feature AMOLED displays that offer 120Hz refresh rate. The duo packs a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support and runs Android OS.
Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G comes in three variants — 6GB RAM+128GB storage , 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant and 8GB RAM+256GB storage. The smartphone is priced at Rs 20,999, Rs 22,999 and Rs 24,999 respectively. The handset can be purchased in Stealth Black and Phantom White with a frosted glass back and Mirage Blue colour variant.
Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G comes in two variants — 6GB RAM+128GB storage and 8GB RAM+128GB storage. The handset is priced at Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999 respectively. The smartphone comes in Star Blue and Stealth Black with a frosted glass back and in Phantom White colour options.
