Redmi: Redmi 12C entry-level smartphone launched in India: Price, offers and more – Times of India

Xiaomi has expanded its entry-level smartphone portfolio with the launch of the new Redmi 12C. The smartphone has been launched along with the 4G variant of the Redmi Note 12. The Redmi 12C has a stylish design and comes powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 entry-level chipset. Here are all the details about the latest budget smartphone.
Redmi 12C: Price and availability
Redmi 12C will be available at a starting price of Rs 8,999 for 4GB + 64GB and Rs 10,999 for 6GB + 128GB variant. ICICI Bank card holders can avail of an additional Rs 500 off, which will take the effective pricing to Rs 8,499 and Rs 10,499 respectively.
The device will be available across Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Studio, Mi Home and authorised retail partners starting April 6 at 12 pm. Redmi 12C will be available in four different colour variants – Lavender Purple, Mint Green, Royal Blue, and Matte Black.
Redmi 12C: Key specs and features
Redmi 12C sports a 6.71-inch HD+ display that supports a 120Hz touch sampling rate. This smartphone comes powered by the entry-level MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core chipset which supports clock speed of up to 2GHz and is based on a 12nm architecture. The company claims that the Redmi 12C is the fastest smartphone in the sub-Rs 10,000 segments.
The smartphone also features HyperEngine gaming technology and Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU that peaks at up to 1GHz. It also supports up to 11GB RAM, including a 5GB virtual RAM extension. This smartphone’s storage can be expanded to 1TB with a micro SD card.
Redmi 12C houses a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera and supports HDR. The smartphone features IP52-rated splash resistance. For connectivity, t comes with Dual Wi-Fi support and a 2+1 card slot. It also has a rear fingerprint sensor with AI face unlock for security.
The smartphone runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.
