Currently, Instagram attracts over 229.6 million active users in India and is considered a top player in the social networking space. The Meta-owned social media platform has been trying new things with its interface to enhance the user experience, like allowing users to add up to 5 links in their Instagram profile.

And now Instagram has introduced a few new features for their users to have ease in editing the reels and to interact better with creating GIFs in the comments section. Let’s explore these features and understand how user friendly and effective they are.

Edit Instagram Reels feature is coming soon

Recently, Mark Zuckerberg mentioned in an interview that users’ time on Reels on Instagram has grown exponentially by 24% overall, making the platform drive all their attention to the short videos’ user experience. Hence, Instagram has come out with tools to enhance the editing experience for content creators. The content creators can now easily edit their videos by splitting the clips, controlling the pace of the video and swap clips. Apart from that the platform has previously offered the feature of adding audio to the clip and including text and stickers.

In addition the platform is also exploring a better user experience for networking by adding the option of reacting to the posts with GIFs in the comment section. Furthermore, the platform has also been working on having the function of replying to a reel with a reel. Here’s how you can opt for this in less than 5 steps:

Add GIFs To Comments On Instagram Posts

• Tap on the comment icon for the post you want to add GIF to.
• Click on the icon on the right on the text box to open the GIPHY Library
• Choose your GIF, you can search the GIF on the search bar
• Add the GIF to the comment once you have found it

Moreover, the platform has been working on the Gifts feature for the reels where content creators can earn money from creating the videos. This is to be launched soon, probably in a few weeks to come. The idea is to create a space where viewers can send in their regards for their favourite creators by sending them virtual gifts. In a nutshell, you purchase stars and send them to the creators which will help them earn money from their reels.
