Reliance JioCinema and NBC Universal Sign Multi-Year Deal To Bring NBC’s Streaming Titles to India

Viacom18 and NBCUniversal have signed a multi-year partnership to bring NBC’s movies and TV series to India through the Reliance JioCinema streaming service. This expands JioCinema’s portfolio even more as it secures popular movies and TV shows from production houses such as Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios, Universal Television Alternative Studio, Sky Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Bravo, and more.

JioCinema’s newly announced “JioCinema Premium” will also include the Peacock service hub owned by NBCUniversal. It includes various shows such as the Dwayne Johnson-starring Young Rock which is a sitcom based on his life. There are also other projects such as Peacock Originals’ Bel-Air, a reboot of the original show which starred Will Smith.

Various popular shows such as The Office, Parks and Recreation, Downton Abbey, Suits, and The Mindy Project will also be available for JioCinema subscribers in India. Other projects arriving through this partnership are The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump Rules, Family Karma, and The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning among more titles.

Oppenheimer, Fast X, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie Coming to JioCinema

JioCinema will also be bringing this year’s biggest movies Fast X, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer to the service in the near future, as per the announcement.

Not only that, there will be several DreamWorks Animation movies coming to JioCinema with this partnership. This includes Oscar-nominated Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and M3GAN. Fan-favourite franchises are also coming to JioCinema with Jurassic, Bourne, Shrek, The Mummy and Pitch Perfect series added to JioCinema’s library.
