How to get Federer’s voice in Waze
In a blog post, Google said that a new feature called Team up with Roger Federer has been introduced where the navigation voice will be of the tennis superstar. The voice navigation will be available in English, French or German. We checked for the feature in Waze and it is available on the app. We tested on the iOS version of the Waze app.
The Roger Federer experience involves getting directions while navigation. It will inform about any hazards ahead as well. “If the momentum of your drive starts to turn as traffic slows you down, he’ll keep your head in the game with words of encouragement like: “Make a U-Turn. Hey, even champions can mess up” or “Heavy traffic reported ahead. Let’s treat this like a change-of-ends break. I might even put on a fresh shirt,” said Google in the blog post.
There’s also an update your mood feature. For instance, you can update your Mood to Victorious to embrace the champion lifestyle.
This experience is available globally with voice navigation in English, French, and German. All you need to ensure is that you have the latest version of the Waze app. Once you are in the Waze app, head to the left menu of your app to look for the Roger Federer banner. Once you tap on the banner, follow the on-screen prompts to get the Roger Federer experience.
