Ronaldo taunted by Carragher as ex-Man Utd stars named as only fans
It was widely reported over the summer that Ronaldo was pushing to leave the Red Devils and cut short his homecoming after his side failed to finish in the top four. However, despite his agent Jorge Mendes holding talks with other clubs, a move never materialised.
The 37-year-old has now revealed that he feels the club were actually trying to push him out of the door and that the club will not return to its glory days if it continues to be ran as it is today. Many have taken the side of Ten Hag throughout his feud with Ronaldo, and the latest steps taken by the latter has thrown his reputation with the club into jeopardy.
Though Carragher believes that the same familiar faces will defend the Portuguese international, he tweeted: “99% of United fans will be on the side of Erik ten Hag, which shows how badly Ronaldo has handled this. The 1% will be Rio (Ferdinand), Roy (Keane) and Patrice (Evra).”

However, Wayne Rooney has never hesitated to share his opinion on his ex-strike partner and recently criticised Ronaldo for his conduct after he left Old Trafford before the full-time whistle had even sounded against Tottenham after refusing to be substituted on. Though Ronaldo hit back in his interview with Morgan.
