Did you see the lethal “The Gray Man” starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Dhanush? Well, if you haven’t, you should watch it as the Netflix movie has received quite acclaim from the audience after the critics showed a lukewarm response pre-release. In any case, The Russo Brothers who directed the Avengers saga, have announced that a sequel is in the works starring Ryan Gosling as Sierra Six, again. It won’t be just “The Gray Man 2” but there are also rumors around a spin-off movie starring Indian actor Dhanush alone.

The Gray Man to get a sequel

The Russo Brothers took it to Twitter to announce the sequel for the $200 million The Gray Man. the story is under development where co-writers Stephen McFeely (and Mike Larocca) will pen the story giving Ryan Gosling enhanced firepower and more. The spin-off that we had mentioned earlier will be written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

Russo Brothers had always wanted “The Gray Man” to become a part of the expanded universe. With the audience reception for the movie which is phenomenal, both Joe and Anthony Russo can start conceptualizing the sequel, keeping Sierra Six (Ryan Gosling) at the center along with Chris Evans as Hansen (the psychopath villain) among others.

If that’s not all, Dhanush will have a standalone movie as a spin-off where he will reprise his role as Avik San. We could even get a prequel on how Chris Evans’ character Llyod Hanson turned into a psychopathic and sadistic former CIA and villain as he is seen in the first installment.

As of now, there’s no update on “The Gray Man 2” release date and we aren’t aware of when the sequel(s) would arrive as well. There’s a lot to talk about the upcoming installments including the storyline, cast, and how it would eventually meet at the launch so stay tuned for more updates.
