Talk about launching with a bang. It seems like a lot of people have shown interest in Ash Williams and his band in Evil Dead The Game, the asymmetric multiplayer horror game. It’s just been five days into the launch but game copies have sold in large numbers. In fact, Evil Dead The Game has sold half a million copies within five days of its launch, as per a report by Embracer Group, which owns the game developer Saber Interactive and @EmbracerInvestor on Twitter.

Since Evil Dead The Game is an asymmetric horror title, you can either play as one of the four teammates of Ash’s team (you can play as Ash also and yes, the team can have all the members as different versions of Ash) or you could choose to become the Kandarian Demon who hunts team members. The demon can possess a member of the team, forcing him/her to attack the teammates. The role of the demon could also be given to AI, if everyone wants to band together to take on evil.
Evil Dead The Game lets you play as iconic characters from the Evil Dead universe like Ash Williams, Scotty, Lord Arthur, Kelly Maxwell, Pablo Simon Bolivar, and more. It also features a new dialogue performed by Bruce Campbell and others. Some of the weapons you can use include the short barrel shotgun, chainsaw, cleavers, etc.
The game launched for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC (Epic Games Store) and Nvidia GeForce Now on May 13, 2022. It will come to Nintendo Switch at a later date.
