samsung foldable phone: Samsung may be working on a dual-hinge smartphone, claims tipster – Times of India
Upon folding it vertically, the display will be on the outside, with the space for the rear camera (which is said to be composed of three sensors with the LED flash, all aligned vertically) coming right next to the edge of the folded part of the display. As such, this design scheme could require a bigger sized phone than the ones launched by Samsung till now. Huawei does have the Mate X2 and Xiaomi, the Mi Mix Fold, with both the phones having an 8-inch display.
When folded horizontally, the display would lie on the inside. The tipster has called the rumoured phone to be the Galaxy Z Fold 4. He shared a 3D rendering of the phone concept, with the help of folks at LetsGoDigital.
The Galaxy Z Fold4 will have the new UTG with improved hardness and quality. It seems that they are upgrading a lot… https://t.co/BpRg6gZ33r

Samsung is also thinking of building a new user interface for the multi-fold smartphone, claimed the tipster.
The Z-shaped foldable phone patent
While the Galaxy Z Flip phones fold vertically and are very compact when in folded state, the Galaxy Z Fold series can be opened like a book. However, apart from the above mentioned design, there is another foldable design which the South Koeran tech giant could be mulling over. This foldable design lets the phone fold in a Z-shape and the company was recently granted a patent for the same, as per an earlier report by LetsGoDigital.
As per the report, with the new design, an upcoming foldable phone could fold into a Z-shape, as it would have three separate sections which would help give that shape. As for the internals, Samsung may reportedly leave the middle section of the phone devoid of any critical internals to just make it useful for the structural rigidity of the device while the batteries and the circuit boards would be housed in the rear and front folding portions of the device. When open, the smartphone would look like a small tablet.
As per the patent sketches, the design has the primary display with an in-display fingerprint sensor as part of the screen. At the back, there is a triple rear camera setup and a USB connector for data transfer and charging.
