Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 gets Bluetooth SIG certification, may launch soon – Times of India

A report last month suggested that Samsung is working on a successor to its Galaxy Home Mini smart speaker – Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 . Now, the device has been spotted on Bluetooth SIG certification platform. The smart speaker has been certified with Bluetooth 5.2 as a SmartThings Home Hub under model number SM-V320.
The website does not reveal any information about the upcoming smart home speaker. But tipster Max Jambor has previously said that the Galaxy Home Mini 2 has entered the production phase and is likely to debut soon. While the company is yet to officially acknowledge the device and its launch, it is rumoured that the Galaxy Home Mini 2 smart speaker may debut at the February Galaxy Unpacked event.
At present, the South Korean company offers two devices in its smart speaker lineup. These include the Galaxy Home, and the Galaxy Home Mini. The original Samsung Galaxy Home smart speaker was announced in 2018. The speaker was only available in the company’s home country and was never launched in other global markets. Its smaller sibling – the Galaxy Home Mini was also limited to South Korea only.
A device carrying similar model number – SM-V320 has previously been reported by Sammobile. It said that the smart speaker may come with a display, making it more of a smart display than just a smart speaker.
Meanwhile, Samsung has announced a Galaxy Unpacked event in February where it will unveil ‘most-noteworthy’ Galaxy S22 series phones. The series may consist of Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The smartphones are tipped to come powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset or the Exynos 2200 SoC depending on the market.
