Samsung Galaxy S22 series misses out on these 2 key features | 91mobiles.com
No 3.5mm headphone jack
Ever since Apple ditched a headphone jack on its iPhone 7 series, other smartphone manufacturers have followed suit and removed the 3.5mm headphone jack from several of their phones. Most people use wireless headphones or earbuds with their smartphones these days, as it is more convenient to skip the struggle of a tangent cable.
It came as no surprise that the Samsung Galaxy S22 series does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack as the company has not shipped a headphone jack S series since the Samsung Galaxy S20. Samsung does offer free Galaxy Buds wireless earbuds on pre-ordering its Galaxy S22 series smartphone to hook folks with its wireless flagship offering. It will be a better deal to pre-book a Galaxy S22 smartphone with a Galaxy Buds wireless earbud freebie.
No MicroSD card slot
The Galaxy S22 series does not offer a microSD card or hybrid card slot. The Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus are limited to 128GB and 256GB storage options. Whereas, Samsung offers up to 1TB storage unit with its Galaxy S22 Ultra. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. Without a microSD card option, users buying the base 128GB storage variant could face a problem, especially if they like to take a lot of photos and videos.
The only additional-upgradable storage option on the Galaxy S22 series is buying a cloud storage subscription or backing up the storage on other storage devices to clear up some memory.
