Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra design revealed via case renders | 91mobiles.com

With the iPhone 13 series out now and the Google Pixel 6 series coming soon, all eyes will now turn to Samsung’s upcoming flagship series. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to launch in early 2022 and rumours suggest three models in tow. We exclusively revealed the Samsung Galaxy S22+ renders while elsewhere renders of the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra have been leaked as well. The Ultra variant is rumoured to get an in-built S Pen. Now, some Galaxy S22 Ultra case renders have surfaced on the Internet, giving us another look at the design.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra design and specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra case renders shared by GizmoChina show a design similar to previous renders. The new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra though will now include a specific slot for an S pen, unlike only support for an S pen as found on the S21 Ultra. This is a first for any Samsung Galaxy S series of smartphones apart from their Note series. The S Pen slot, however, is not shown in the case renders.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a similar 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, like its predecessor. The device will support a higher refresh rate of probably 120hz. It will measure around 8.9mm in thickness, with actual dimensions of 163.2 x 77.9 x 8.9mm. On the rear side, the camera module will be a similar quad-camera setup with a LED flash. At the bottom, it will have the usual Type-C port, sim card slot, bottom-firing speakers, and a dedicated S pen slot.

The smartphone is also expected to retain the same 108MP primary camera sensor, with a 12MP ultrawide angle lens. It is also expected to have a pair of 10MP telephoto lenses, with one of them being a periscope lens offering up to 10x optical zoom for incredible crisp images even from a far-off distance.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 chipset or the Exynos 2200 depending on region to region. It was also reported that the US will get the Exynos variant while India might get the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S22 series, which would be an interesting reversal. We will find out more about the device in the upcoming months, with its launch as expected to be held early next year.
