Samsung Galaxy S24 series chipset may rival Apple’s M2 chip

Earlier, the benchmark scores of the new Exynos 2400 were leaked which showed that the Exynos 2400 could perform as well as Apple’s M2 chipset.

New Exynos 2400 is much more powerful than its predecessors

The leak was from tipster RGcloudS who shared new information surrounding the much anticipated Exynos 2400 SoC from Samsung. The leak suggests that amongst the chipsets, many notable upgrades will be its deca-core or 10-core setup. The chipset has an array of 10 different cores which will cater to a variety of functions of the CPU. While it is unlikely for all cores to operate simultaneously, it is expected that tasks would be distributed amongst available cores which would be optimised accordingly.

The chipset was also previously believed to be packaged using the Fo-WLP or Fan-out wafer-level packaging method. This would’ve made the chips thinner yet more efficient. However, in this new batch of rumours, the chipset packaging process has been downgraded to the I-Cube process.

The Exynos 2400 SoC is rumoured to get a 10-core CPU with one Prime X4 core, two Cortex-A720 gold cores, 3x Cortex-A720 silver cores and four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores.
