Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has arrived. Samsung unveiled its latest Android tablet series — Galaxy Tab S8 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event along with Galaxy S22 series.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series consists of three Android tablets — Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. The all-new Galaxy Tab S8 series offers improved video conferencing experience with ultra-wide front cameras, a three-microphone setup, and intelligent auto-framing technology.
What the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series offer
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series Android tablets come with multitasking capabilities with improved Multi-active Windows2 and Samsung DeX, safe and easy file sharing with password-protected Quick Share. The tablets come with a 4nm processor and S Pen support. The devices come with an Armor Aluminium body and offer features like Second Screen and Buds Auto Switch.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra specifications
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 sports an 11-inch WQXGA display with 2560×1600 pixel resolution. The Galaxy Tab S8+ comes with a 12.4-inch display with 2800×1752 pixel resolution. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra houses a 14.6-inch Super AMOLED WQXGA+ display with 2960×1848 pixel resolution.
All the three tablets run Android 12 operating system and are powered by a 4nm octa-core processor. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ features dual rear camera with 13MP primary sensor and 6MP ultra-wide angle lens. Front of the tablets house a 12MP camera to facilitate video calling. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra sports a dual camera at both rear and front end. The rear of the Android tablet comes with a 13MP primary sensor and 6MP ultra-wide angle lens, whereas the front features two 12MP cameras.
The three Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets come in two variants — 8GB+128GB and 8GB+ 256GB. All the three tablets come with 45W fast-charging support. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 houses a 8,000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab S8+ is backed by a 10,090 mAh battery. Whereas, Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra packs 11,200 mAh battery.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes in bold and timeless Graphite, and Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ come in three sophisticated shades — Graphite, Silver and Pink Gold. Samsung is also releasing a new Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Book Cover Keyboard with the tablets. The Book Cover Keyboard features premium, antimicrobial polyurethane leather and a glass-coated touchpad that enables smooth and responsive typing.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series availability
The Galaxy Tab S8 series will be available for pre-order, beginning February 9, 10am EST, and will officially launch on February 25, starting with select markets including the US, Europe and Korea. Users, who pre-order the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, will receive the new Book Cover Keyboard, and those who order the Tab S8+ or Tab S8 will receive a Book Cover Keyboard Slim 3.
