Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series: what we know so far

Unfortunately, the US FCC listing does not reveal much in terms of any feature that the new smartwatch may come with. What it does appear to confirm, however, is that there will be two models in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 smartphone lineup — a standard Galaxy Watch 6 with codename R930, and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic with codename R940.

Previous reports about the series have claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will come with a rotating physical bezel — marking the return of this fan favourite feature to the smartwatch series after a year-long gap. The overall design language of the smartwatch is likely to remain the same, in terms of what it has been for many years now. The smartwatch lineup is also expected to retain the same wireless charging adapter that it has had since at least the Galaxy Watch 3 series of 2020.

While the Galaxy Watch 6 is tipped to come with a 40mm case size, the Watch 6 Classic is said to feature 44mm case size. The latter is also expected to feature a 1.47-inch, 470 x 470 pixels display that is slightly larger than its previous versions. It is also tipped to come with a 425mAh battery, and is likely to feature a new version of Wear OS — the latest smartphone operating system built by Samsung in partnership with Google.
