Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 spotted on FCC certification with 5G support and wireless charging | 91mobiles.com

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 has stopped by the FCC certification website, as spotted by 91mobiles. This comes right after the Galaxy Z Fold 3 made an appearance on the platform. This is no coincidence and it looks like the rumours about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 launching in August will hold true. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable phone has the model number SM-F711U and the FCC website reveals a few key details. While specifications like the chipset, display size, design, and cameras are still under wraps, the FCC website does tell us about some connectivity options.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 FCC listing

The biggest takeaway from the FCC listing is that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 supports 5G. The document reveals the phone supports n71, n12, n5, n66, n2, n25, n30, n41, n77, n78, n260, and n261 5G NR frequency bands. The device also comes with NFC support, several LTE bands, and wireless charging support, as expected. It seems the phone supports wireless charging (EP-N5100) at 9W. To recall, the 3C listing of the phone that was spotted last month revealed 15W wired charging support.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is rumoured to launch in August alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Both foldable devices are expected to get minor upgrades to the design while major improvements to the hardware seem likely. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to feature a 3,273mAh battery, an under-display selfie camera, and the Snapdragon 888 chipset. We will have to wait and see whether these leaked specs pan out later in August. The FCC certification pretty much confirms that the Samsung foldable phones are on course for a launch later this year.
