Today, i.e., August 10, 2022, Samsung had its Galaxy Unpacked event wherein it unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldables. Besides the two new folding smartphones, Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Watch 5 series and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Specs and Features

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with a 7.6-inch main AMOLED Flex display with QXGA+ resolution and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. As for the cover screen, you are getting a 6.2-inch panel with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The device carries on the Under Display Camera setup on the main screen with a 4MP sensor sitting. Meanwhile, the cover screen camera is a 10MP sensor while the rear camera system includes a 12MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide shooter, and a 10MP 3x telephoto zoom lens.

The underlying processor is a 4nm octa-core processor which is likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This is coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB internal storage.

This foldable weighs 263 grams and also packs in a 4400mAh battery (supporting 25W charger which will be sold separately), Android 12L based One UI 4.1.1 software, IPX8 protection, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The color options includes ​​Graygreen, Phantom Black, Beige, and Burgundy.

The main screen on the Z Flip 4 is a 6.7-inch FHD+ primary AMOLED display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Outside, you get a small 1.9-inch AMOLED screen with 260 x 512 resolution.

The cameras on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 are a 10MP front camera and a 12MP+12MP duo on the back.

Internally, the fold carries a 4nm Qualcomm SoC (likely Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1), up to 8GB RAM, 512GB storage, and a 3700mAh battery (supporting a 25W charger that’s sold separately). 

Other things in the mix include IPX8 ingress rating, Android 12 based One UI 4.1.1 software, 5G, WiFi ax, Bluetooth 5.2, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. 

The offered colorways are Bora Purple, Graphite, Pink Gold, Blue, and [Bespoke Edition] Front/Back (Yellow, White, Navy, Khaki, Red), Frame(Silver/Black/Gold).

Price and Availability

Samsung has priced the Galaxy Z Fold 4 starting at $1800 while the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s price begins at $999.They will ship from August 25 and August 26 respectively.
