Samsung GIF Remaster: New AI tool at Samsung Galaxy S23 event will improve your GIF game | 91mobiles.com

What is Samsung GIF Remaster?

This new AI tool by the South Korean tech giant is made to upscale the GIFs you share with each other on apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and more. We all have looked for that perfect GIF from our favourite movies (it’s always Rajpal Yadav for us), but been disappointed to find it too pixelated or poorly cut. Samsung’s GIF remaster tool aims to change that.

At the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, Samsung announced that this tool will automatically detect poor-resolution GIFs and sharpen each frame to improve the quality of your memes.

Samsung has not revealed any details on this feature yet as to how it will work and which phones it will be rolled out to, but we expect it on the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 series at the very least. As to how it will work, it will likely be a toggle that comes up when you choose the GIF to send across apps. However, we shall have to wait till Samsung has more details to share.

In addition, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S23 series at this year’s Unpacked. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are flagship Android smartphones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ feature advanced triple rear cameras, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with a quad camera setup at the back.

The Galaxy Book 3 series of laptops was also unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked 2023. These include the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, Galaxy Book 3 Pro, and Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 coming in at different price points.
