Samsung makes fun of Apple for not having a foldable phone, ‘epic’ cameras – Times of India

Samsung is back with another ad poking fun at Apple. This time it is through an ad that reminds everyone how Apple doesn’t have a foldable phone yet.
In the ad — which looks like it’s set in an Apple Store — a man is seeing trying to jump the fence. As he is sitting on the fence, another man — an Apple Store employee lookalike — asks him, “Hey, what are you doing up there?”, before adding, “You can’t sit on the fence.”
The fence sitter promptly replies, “But on the Samsung side, they have folding phones and epic cameras.” Hearing this, a customer expresses faux shock at the idea of a foldable phone. The so-called Apple employee tells them that “We’re waiting for all that to come over here.” The one who wants to go over the Samsung side says but it is already over there and why Apple doesn’t have it. “Because that’s what we do. We wait,” says the employee.” Time to get off the fence is Samsung’s message to those who are perhaps deliberating between an iPhone and Samsung phone.
This isn’t the first — and certainly won’t be the last — time that Samsung has taken digs at Apple. The lack of a folding phone on the Apple ‘side’ has become a rather favourite theme for Samsung to poke fun at Apple. “What’s the hold on the Fold, Apple?” Samsung questioned in a promotional campaign. “Join the Flip side,” was another message Samsung sent to users through promotions encouraging them to pick the Galaxy Fold and Flip devices instead of the iPhones.
Samsung has been at the forefront of foldable phones for the last couple of years now whereas there’s no word from Apple whether it will ever launch a foldable iPhone or not. Till that happens, Samsung won’t stop reminding Apple and others about the lack of “innovation” on the Apple side.
