Samsung QN900C 8K and QN935C 4K Neo QLED TVs debut at CES 2023; Here’s all you need to know – Smartprix

Samsung QN935C NEo QLED

Samsung announced its new line of Neo QLED TVs for 2023 at CES 2023. The company’s new premium TVs are available in 4K and 8K variants, all of which have increased brightness, improved colors, and a tonne of new software capabilities. They are based on improved Mini-LED technology.

Samsung QN900C 8K Neo QLED TV is the brightest TV of 2023

Samsung’s top-of-the-line Neo QLED TV, the QN900C, has an 8K resolution and will be the brightest TV in 2023. The QN900C uses an 8K Quantum MiniLED-lit panel with a 14-bit backlight that can deliver a maximum brightness of 4,000 nits. The 2023 model will offer better contrast levels thanks to 8K Real Depth Enhancer Pro and Shape Adaptive Light algorithms.

Samsung’s new Neo QLED TVs convert SDR to HDR automatically

The QN900C also gets Samsung’s new feature called Auto HDR Remastering “which uses AI deep learning technology to assess and apply real-time high dynamic range (HDR) effects on standard dynamic range (SDR) footage on a scene-by-scene basis, brightening and enhancing SDR content for complete immersion.”

Some people are likely to truly adore it, while others could be wary of how it reframes the creator’s intent to take HDR into consideration. But hey, you may skip it. The system uses deep learning to compare SDR and HDR footage, identify differences, and then convert the content.

According to the manufacturer, the QN900C 8K QLED has substantially more dimming blocks, which has virtually eradicated blooming.

Samsung QN935C 4K Neo QLED (Mini LED) will be the mass-market flagship for 2023

The Samsung QN935C 4K TV will replace the QN95B as the flagship for the masses. It has received several improvements over the QN95B. The 4K QLED TV comes with an improved Mini-LED backlight and a redesigned power board, which allows its bezels to be less than 20 mm slim. The new design ensures there is no external connection box that you need to connect to your tv. The QN935C can produce Dolby Atmos sound without a separate soundbar thanks to its top-firing speakers. The integrated Matter Thread and Zigbee all-in-one modules found in Samsung’s 2023 Neo QLED series will allow you to use the QN900C and QN935C as a hub for your smart home.

Unfortunately, Dolby Vision HDR is still not supported by Samsung TVs. They work with HLG, HDR10, and HDR10+ Adaptive. Utilizing AI, the AI Sound Remastering feature remasters the audio associated with each screen object so that voices are crystal clear, ambient sounds are rich, and each component has the ideal volume level. The TVs also have an updated version of the Q-Symphony feature, which makes use of the TV’s Neural Processing Unit to enhance the audio quality of compatible soundbars.

Samsung’s 2023 TVs run on an updated Tizen operating system version. The updated OS has features like 3D Map View, ConnectTime, and Chat Together. You can transfer video calls from other devices, such as a smartphone, to the TV’s larger screen via ConnecTime. The video call will return to the originating device when you move away from the TV. A bird’s eye view of your home is provided by the 3D Map view, making it simpler to control smart home devices and see where they are located in each room.

Samsung is also targeting gamers with its 2023 line-up. It comes with an updated Samsung Gaming Hub, which includes cloud gaming streaming services like Amazon Luna, Microsoft Xbox Cloud, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Utomik, is a standard feature on all of these new TVs. Players can stream in 4K resolution and simultaneously see various pieces of content. Players may view a minimap of their game on any screen thanks to Game Bar 3.0, an updated version of Game Bar. The Virtual Aim Point function in FPS (First Person Shooter) games also improves target crosshair visibility.
