Samsung rolls out Android 13 One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy M42 5G – Times of India
One UI 5.0
Samsung OneUI 5.0 comes as the latest version layered on top of Android 13 which brings some new features. It starts with “Privacy Detection”– while sharing photos, a new Privacy and Security dashboard which resembles the Google design, a new lock screen with options to customise it, “Maintenance mode” which hides user’s data when the phone is sent for repair, stackable widgets among others. Although the update aimed at bringing multi-user support, Samsung removed it during the beta program.
Here’s how to download the OneUI 5.0 update based on Android 13.
1. Open the Settings app on the Samsung Galaxy device.
2. Scroll down and tap Software update.
3. Tap Download and Install.
It is suggested that users keep a backup of their data before installing Android 13 on their Samsung devices. It is unlikely to happen that an update will lead to trouble while installing the update. Users are still advised to keep a backup of their data to avoid any loss of data.
