This new One UI from Samsung is based on Android 12 which brings along new customisation and privacy settings. This upcoming version of the operating system also claims to bring simplified and streamlined interactions with a clean and elegant design.
Samsung has also said that some of the new features might not be supported when the beta program is open. The latest customised OS skin from Samsung brings new theme options to configure home screens, icons, notifications, wallpapers and more. The One UI 4 from Samsung will also offer redesigned and upgraded widgets with deep customisation. The OS skin will also bring a diverse array of emojis to the smartphones.
Samsung One UI 4 also claims to bring new and improved privacy and protection functions that allow users to customise their settings and offer a more personalised user experience. The indicators will now alert users when an app is using the camera or microphone, so that they can disable the permission instantly. Along with this, users can also view permissions history from the last seven days and also keep a check on the current data usage of apps.
How to join One UI 4 beta program
The One UI 4 beta program is presently available for Samsung Galaxy S21 series users in India, China, Germany, Poland, South Korea, UK, and the US. The company is expected to roll out the beta program in other regions depending on the market.
Users can register for the beta program via the Samsung Members app. It is also expected that the company will soon bring the beta program to its Galaxy A series of smartphones as well.
