samsung: Samsung’s new TV remote can keep itself charged, here’s how – Times of India

Computer Electronics Show is a place where companies usually showcase their products and innovations to the world. Samsung is no different. After announcing the solar-powered Eco Remote at last year’s CES, the company has now showcased a new remote that comes with a pretty interesting charging trick.
The latest Eco Remote now features an additional charging solution in addition to the solar charge. This time, Samsung has added a new RF harvesting capability that converts routers radio waves into energy. That allows the new Eco Remote to preserve charge.
The feature is pretty new and only suitable for low-powered devices like TV remotes, etc.
Samsung has also confirmed that the new Eco Remote can also be charged using indoor as well as outdoor lights and even using the built-in USB Type-C port.
The company has confirmed that the new Eco Remote will also be available in White colour with TVs like The Frame, Serif and Sero to match the aesthetics.
For those unaware, Samsung has also showcased its new lineup of monitors and smart TVs. The smart TVs also come with built-in features like Smart Things Hub, Multi View and new home screen to make finding content easier.
Apart from that Samsung has also made some changes to Micro LED and Neo QLED TVs to offer a better viewing experience with improved resolution, brightness and HDR support. Other TVs like Sherif, Sero and The Frame have received a new anti-glare, anti-fingerprint and anti-reflection technology.
